Cynthia Bernard is a writer in her early seventies and a long-time classroom teacher. She lives on a hill overlooking the ocean, 25 miles south of San Francisco. Her work spans poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction, and has appeared in various publications. She was selected by Western Rivers Conservancy as the Poet-Protector of Deer Creek Falls in the northern Sierra Nevada foothills.
