Love Transformed

love worn
by war doesn’t

end, but
dwells

bevels round
in fragile forms

transforms love

in tangled dreams
of what once was—

in tangled dreams
of rolling hills

greens awash
with lavenders

Crossings

on color wheels
of expectations

moods of tints
turn light to dark

and undercurrents
shadow war

in liminal spaces
where love lives

to silhouette
borderless horizons

Colors, Shapes, and Forms

love is to be alive
when the world is broken
and a new day still comes
with new colors, shapes
and forms never before
imagined
even when the unthinkable
is thought

Tempest Reds and Armored Blacks

Shipwrecked in this nightmare
are love and war
tempest reds and armored blacks
seek consolation
bridging borders of
opaque shades
that whisper warmth from
balmy brushwork laid…

Love is Obstinate

resolute, determined
love storms the beaches
where soldiers lie
