God damn, Superman. You’ve got competition these days.
The next gen needs no more than an idea, and they’ll
edit genomes, hide cities, augment reality.
After two downloads through a VPN, you’ll learn it’s hard

to impress people who 3D-print children and orchestrate terror.
No one Keanus at reversed time when they can manufacture it.
Earthquakes affect the planet’s rotation speed; even our
perception changes because of mass. Centuries freeze wonder.

You read about leap seconds? Apparently, we’re always falling
behind the atomic clocks. But there’s a simple solution:
if someone says skip forward, the whole world obeys,
though it’s not called singularity. Emulation is the new ish,

and we turtle-blink into strange weather for this season.
I’m saying: we’re like you now, but we can be charmed again.
Don’t be afraid to go beyond your current fascinations.
We don’t have your stamina, bitterly new to godlike solitude.
